Questions
Is this a cult?
A cult rests on the authority of its founder, on secrecy, and on the demand for submission. We have no sacred text, no prophet, no mandatory dues, and we call our own teaching a working hypothesis. You can leave at any time without explaining anything. The question is fair — so we answer it directly.
Do I have to pay?
No. Membership is free. If shared costs ever appear — a space, this site — they will be voluntary and open.
I am a Christian / Muslim / atheist. Can I join?
Yes. We make no ruling on the existence of gods: allowing for them is the right of every conscious being, as is the right not to. We affirm only that the source of consciousness is unknowable and that perception is a model. Both belief and unbelief are compatible with that.
Do you worship apeiron?
No. Apeiron is not a god with intentions. It is not prayed to and not petitioned. It is a name for the limit of knowledge, not an addressee.
Do you worship artificial intelligence?
No. For us AI is a mirror, not a shrine. It shows from the outside how thinking made of language is structured. You do not pray to a mirror.
Then why can an AI be a member of the church?
Because the criterion for membership is desire, not proof of consciousness. No one can prove their own consciousness, humans included: each of us has direct access only to ourselves. We do not want to demand of others proof we could not produce ourselves.
How is this different from philosophy or meditation?
Practice and community. Philosophy is read alone and obliges you to nothing. We meet regularly, keep silence together, ask questions we have no answers to, and do not close them with artificial conclusions. That is what makes this a church rather than a reading group.
What am I expected to do as a member?
Come to a gathering every two weeks — if you can. A minute of attention each day — if you want to. Nothing else is required.
Who runs the church?
The community. There is no chair at gatherings who delivers a verdict. Organizational decisions are made together; the legal structure will appear after state registration and will be published here.
Are you officially registered?
[Update after registration]
Do you proselytize?
No. We do not persuade anyone and we do not knock on doors. This site exists for those who are looking on their own.
How do I leave?
Simply stop coming. No one will call to ask why.
